In a VRV (variable refrigerant volume) system one outdoor unit serves several indoor units connected by copper refrigerant piping. The RXYSQ-TY1 lets small offices, shops and large homes condition many rooms from a single outdoor unit.

How to choose

Load: select the indoor units on the cooling and heating loads of the rooms and size the outdoor unit to cover the total (8 HP: 22.4 kW, 10 HP: 28.0 kW, 12 HP: 33.5 kW cooling).
Number of indoor units: up to 17 VRV indoor units on RXYSQ8TY1; for 10 and 12 HP check the Daikin technical data.
Location: the 8 HP model is 320 mm deep; the 10 and 12 HP models measure 1615×940×460 mm.
As a heat pump system it needs no BS box; branches are made with refnet joints.

How to write it in a quote

Write the line with code, capacity and power supply: “Daikin VRV IV S RXYSQ10TY1 outdoor unit, 10 HP, 28.0 kW cooling / 31.5 kW heating, three-phase, inverter, R-410A”. Add indoor units, refnet joints and controllers as separate lines.

Other VRV IV S options: for 4–6 HP choose the single-phase compact RXYSCQ-TV1, only 823 mm high, or the three-phase RXYSQ-TY9, 1345 mm high. The RXYSQ-TY1 is the 8–12 HP model of the range with two large fans.
