How to choose

Heating priority: if heating must not stop in winter, choose RYYQ-U; it helps keep the room temperature during defrost. For other projects the standard RXYQ-U is used.
Capacity: choose 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 or 20 HP based on the total of the connected indoor units. For small projects up to 12 HP the mini RXYSQ range is also an option.
Operation: a heat pump outdoor unit switches between heating and cooling. If some rooms need heating while others need cooling at the same time, look at the REYQ-U heat recovery range.
Piping: indoor branches use KHRQ22M refnet joints and the outdoor side uses BHFQ22P connection pieces; pick the code by pipe size from the Daikin piping table.

Both are VRV heat pump outdoor units from 8 to 20 HP. RYYQ-U is the continuous-heating version: it keeps heating during the defrost that takes place at low outdoor temperatures. RXYQ-U is the standard heat pump model.
